Dona Mayoora aka Donmay Donamayoora is a bilingual/visual/experimental poet and published author in India and Sweden. Creator of Calligraphy Stories. Columnist at Poetria (Facebook page of Women poets of Kerala, India). Occasionally essayist & short story writer. Former poetry editor at Malayalam online Journals Malayalanatu and Navamalayali. Author of Ice Cubukal (2012), Neela Moonga (2019), Listening To Red (2018), Echoes (2019) and Language Lines & Poetry (2020). Visual poems were exhibited in group exhibitions several times in Italy, Spain, USA, Poland, Canada, Switzerland and Portugal. Malayalam poems are included in the academic syllabus of Universities in Kerala, India. Visual poem has been featured in the international anthologies: A History of Visual Text Art (2019) and JUDITH: Women Making Visual Poetry (2021). She was one of the Co-Editors of WAAVe Global Anthology of Women’s Asemic Writing and Visual Poetry (2021) published by Hysterical Books, USA. Recently Gap Riot Press Canada published a Visual Poetry Chapbook Punctum, collaborative work with Gary Barwin. Dona is also a Sulivan Scholar at MFA of Americas Poetry in the Expanded Field.
