raised
in his version of an offering

been welcomed, slapped on the back
and
bought a drink to see what happens;
but no
one listens late into the night
when
his dreams begin to make sense
He’s
been patronized but not understood
forgotten
already in this loud surround
they’re
looking over his shoulder
for
the next big thing
