I’ve a chapbook in queue that’s nearly ready for shopping around. Which begs the question: when is a chapbook fully cooked? I’m very excited about two upcoming chapbooks I’ve undertaken to publish for some very talented Ottawa poets through shreeking violet. I’m hoping to align the publication date of the first with either the spring or fall iteration of the ottawa small press book fair this year. Stay tuned!
Shortlisted for the 2016 bpNichol Award and winner of the 2013 Diana Brebner Prize, Marilyn Irwin has had ten chapbooks published by various small presses. She runs shreeking violet press in Ottawa where she lives with her cats on unceded Anishinaabe land.
